Welcome to the Reception class page. Our teacher is Miss Talbot and Mrs Jackson is our teaching assistant. We hope you enjoy looking at all of our learning below.
Today we had a mobile farm visit us at school. We got to pet lots of animals including Bill the cow and Speckles the goat. The children enjoyed learning about how these animals are cared for, what they eat and what their offspring are called.
Last week the children in Early Years found an egg. We were not sure what was inside the egg and could only guess until the egg was hatched. Today was the day the egg hatched and the children were thrilled to meet the dinosaur that 'lived' inside the egg. We will be producing some writing in relation to our dinosaur visit so watch out for examples of this on our literacy page.
Easter Learn and Share
Thank you to all the grown ups who attended our Easter learn and share. We had lots of fun making Easter crafts, working out number problems with eggs and of course searching for the chocolate eggs the Easter bunny had left for us.
We all had the most amazing time at Imagine that in Liverpool. The children got to explore the science zone where they got to take part in a science show, make their own bath bombs and create some yucky slime.
The children particularly liked the role play areas which they got to explore in the afternoon.
Take a look at some of the pictures from our fabulous day...
Learn and Share event: 23/2/18
Thank you to all our parent/carers who attended our phonics learn and share event.
The children really enjoyed sharing how we learn to read and write. We hope that it gave you plenty of ideas to do at home and we look forward to welcoming you at our next learn and share.
Fun through December...
