English
We are reading Varjak Paw by SF Said. Varjak is a Mesopotamian Blue kitten who lives high up in an old house on a hill. He has never left the house but when his grandfather tells him about a secret martial arts for cats he embarks on an adventure and must find a new way to survive in a city full of dangerous dogs and gang cats.
Maths
In Maths, over the next few weeks, we will be looking at multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages, area and perimeter and statistics.
Please ensure that you are access TT RockStars regularly in order to ensure your child is confident with their times tables knowledge.
Science
We will be learning all animals including humans. Within this topic we will be learning about:
- the human timeline.
- the growth of babies.
- puberty in humans and animals.
- changes in old age.
- gestation periods.
- life expectancy.
Humanities
In Humanities this half term we will be learning about The Normans and the great battle of 1066.
PE
Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. On Monday we will be exploring Gymnastics and on Wednesday we will be doing Games.
Art
Our Art topic this half term is based on the artist Monet.
Music
This half term we will be continuing with learning to play a brass musical instrument.
