Music

At Holy Spirit we are very lucky to have the support of the St Helen's Music Service who work with all classes in school. We are excited to take part in Wider Opportunities Brass Lessons in Year 4, 5 and some Year 6 children.

We often go on visits to widen our cultural experiences of Music. Each class will have the opportunity to visit the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall this year to listen to and watch the world famous Philharmonic Orchestra.

The KS2 concert this year was called, 'Our Global Vision' and we visited in March.

We had a wonderful time watching the world famous orchestra perform, conducted by Michael Seal and listened to Alasdair Molloy inspire and empower our children to  do their bit to save the world

These concerts link directly to Key Stage 2 Science and Geography curriculum by inspiring pupils to develop a curiosity and fascination about the Earth's key physical and human processes.

'The Holy Spirit Angels

At Holy Spirit we have a fantastic choir made up of talented and enthusiastic KS2 children. Our choir is the biggest it has ever been this year with over 40 dedicated members and we have been extremely busy all year learning different songs for different performances. The Holy Spirit Angels regularly perform at various venues and recently performed with over 3000 other children at the 'Peace Proms' concert at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. Our children also bring their lovely music to a local care home, Madison Court, where they sing for staff and residents. We have also participated in a concert with St. Helen's Music Service and sang at the St Helen's Town Hall.
